Bands Play Until 1 AM: Congress Making ‘Band’ Bengaluru Instead of ‘Brand’

Bengaluru, Express News: The state government is claiming to make Bengaluru a “Brand Bengaluru.” However, they have allowed music bands to play until 1 AM. So, it’s unclear whether Bengaluru will become “Brand Bengaluru” or “Band Bengaluru, said former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.  Bengaluru should be made a clean city, he added

He was speaking here on Sunday at the inauguration of the Sri Venugopalakrishna Community Hall of the Somakshatriya Ganiga community.

“The Ganiga community has a rich history and tradition. It is intellectually superior and has maintained its excellence since the Vijayanagar era. It is important to build a life of dignity for those who cannot live with self-respect. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has risen from poverty and worked for the poor, is a great example. He grew up in the Ganiga profession, and seeing him shows the strength of this community,” Bommai said.

He said there was a time when those with land ruled the world. Then, those with money ruled the world. Now, the 21st century is the era of knowledge. Those with knowledge will rule the world. When many foreigners come to India, they first visit Bengaluru. They don’t go to Vidhana Soudha; they head towards Infosys and Wipro.

The former CM said the Ganiga community is an intelligent community with high IQ. Annigeri, who served as the chairman of Corporation Bank, managed a large bank. The children of this community have a lot of talent. Constructing this building is a good move, and the income generated from it should be used for their children’s future. This building was made possible because S.M. Krishna provided the land, and  expressed  his  gratitude to him.

“MLA Muniratna of Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency is a public-friendly legislator. I have provided funds for all the work he requested. When the landowners refused to give land for road construction in this area, Muniratna wrote on bond paper that he will  secure compensation from the government. Muniratna’s work during the COVID-19 pandemic has set an example for everyone. He has kept his constituency clean,” Bommai said

The MP said  Udupi Manjunath approached him with the community leaders and asked for 1 crore rupees for the construction of the community hall. He  responded to his request.  This community is present in all states of the country. The community should come together and move forward. Consider him as one of  their brothers, with or without power. They have given him great strength, and with that strength, he  will work on your behalf.

The event was attended by MLA Muniratna, former chairman V.R. Sudarshan, BJP youth leader Bharat Bommai, Channamma Basavaraj Bommai, Manjunath Udupi, and other leaders of the Ganiga community.
